Meets in Sumners Hall, ground floor of the Administration/Education Bldg.
The Church of St. John the Divine in partnership with Interfaith CarePartners offers The Gathering, a regular program of fun and fellowship for those suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s.
- Meet once a month on the 3rd Monday
- Offer physical movement, socialization, music and memory stimulation
- Free respite care for 3.5 hours
- Numerous volunteer opportunities
Our goal is not only to serve persons with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia but to provide support and respite for their family caregivers. Caregiving places a high demand on family members or other caregivers. Providing loving care for another person can be taxing. Emotional, physical and spiritual distress can result.

St. John’s and Interfaith CarePartners believe that by engaging with caregivers for ongoing support, information, respite and education, their physical, mental and spiritual health and well-being will be at less risk. The people they serve can remain at home longer and stay healthier.
