Teaching Center Coordinator

Principal Functions: The Teaching Center Coordinator empowers and equips the faculty and students of the teaching center. The coordinator is tasked with implementing the strategic initiative to “develop a world class teaching center” and its operational objectives. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. This position promotes effective, innovative pedagogy in learning and teaching in all modalities, all stages of spiritual maturity and age, including but not limited to online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses. The Coordinator assists faculty to enhance the learning experience for students all stages of spiritual maturity and age, by using best practices. This position identifies areas of need in student development: including in the design, implementation, and assessment of a comprehensive teaching center program. The Coordinator leads the development of effective teaching evaluation and uses this in conjunction with appropriate assessments of faculty, curriculum, and classroom technology needs to guide programming.

Connections Coordinator

Principal Functions: The role of the Connections Coordinator is to work with the Connect Ministry team to facilitate the member connection and growth strategy of St. John the Divine under the direction and leadership of the Director of Membership. This will require a firm grasp of the beliefs, values, and current strategies of St. John the Divine. The ability to communicate with ministry team, other staff members, key leadership teams, and the church at large will also be a large part of the job description and requirements. The CC will assist guests and members (both in-person and virtually) in developing a genuine sense of belonging, involvement and spiritual growth at SJD by meeting people where they are and leading them to the next steps in discipleship and church community involvement. The CC will facilitate genuine relational connections through being available Sunday mornings for guest & members, assisting in the formation of virtual and in-person small groups, volunteer service teams, and special Connect Ministry events. Due to pandemic restrictions and limitations, this position will also provide support to our online church community by creating genuine connections to foster continued engagement online. This is a full-time, position scheduled to work 40 hours a week. Regular workday includes Sunday. Other days and hours of work will generally be determined by the current needs and demands of the Church. Occasional evenings or Saturdays are possible.

Nursery Worker:

Principal Functions: To provide safe, secure, nurturing, clean and efficient care to our children. Ministry responsibilities include playing with the children or directing their play, reading to them, praying with children, exhibiting patience and love, and relating the events of the day to the lesson and theme in words the child can understand. Responsible for age-appropriate care which includes: feeding, changing diapers, maintaining a safe environment, putting children down for naps, holding, sitting with, and cheerfully interacting with children through games, stories, crafts and play.
