The Grief Ministry offers love and support when you experience loss.

Grief Ministry & Support
St. John the Divine is here to support those who are experiencing the loss of family and friends. You might find it helpful to meet regularly with a Stephen Minister. Learn about the Stephen Ministry and how to ask for a Stephen Minister here.

We also have two trained grief facilitators who would be happy to meet with you over the phone. Please contact Norie Baldwin or Judy Thornton to set up a mutually convenient time for a telephone conversation.

H.O.P.E. - Helping our Pain Easeis an ongoing support group for those who have lost loved ones that meets weekly on Thursdays, 5 - 6:30 pm in the Chapel Family Room. Norie Baldwin facilitates.

Walking the Mourner’s Path
The Grief Ministry offers love and support when you experience a loss. Walking the Mourner’s Path will again be offered from September 27 - November 15, 2022, to those who have lost someone to death. The eight weekly 90-minute workshops are centered on one concept of grief each week. Workbooks at the cost of $50 are utilized to provide for discussions and explorations. Class size is limited to 10 participants. Norie Baldwin and Judy Thornton serve as facilitators. It is important that you are able to attend all sessions. Please contact The Rev. Louise Samuelson if you are interested in enrolling in the workshops.

Modern Widows Club
