After you find the pink slip in what's now your final paycheck, after the doctors have said there's nothing more they can do, after the relationship ends but the wounds are still bleeding, after family and friends have heard your story one too many times, but you still need to talk it out--that's when Stephen Ministers step in.

Stephen Ministry is a one-to-one lay caring ministry providing high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting. A Stephen Minister is someone who will offer Christian love and support, visit with you weekly, listen, provide resources and referrals, and pray with and for you. Stephen Ministers address the needs of people who are:

  • Hospitalized
  • Grieving the loss of a loved one
  • Lonely
  • Depressed
  • Separated or divorced
  • Homebound
  • Expecting the birth of a child
  • Dying as well as the families of the terminally ill
  • Experiencing the loss of a job or financial setbacks
  • Abused
  • New to our parish
  • Inactive members
  • Struggling with their faith in God

Stephen Ministers also facilitate support groups.
