Becoming a Member of St. John the Divine

We invite you to be part of the St. John’s family and to join our mission: Changing lives for God in Christ. God calls us by name, invites us into a relationship with him, and beckons us into his body, the Church.

Q: What does it mean to be a member of St. John the Divine?
A: St. John’s members are committed to growing... We ask members to pray daily, worship weekly, grow faithfully, serve and give regularly. The Episcopal Church encourages you to become a confirmed member. Confirmed Member are individuals who have been baptized and have received the laying on of hands from the Bishop. We also encourage those interested in membership to complete the Discovery or Alpha Class, each offered twice a year.

Q. If I’ve been a member of another church, how do I become a member here?
A. It’s very simple! Inform one of the clergy or contact Kim Jameson, Director of Membership Development, Kim Jameson,, that you would like to be a member. If your membership currently resides in another church, please contact us about requesting a letter of transfer be sent on your behalf.

Confirmed members are invited to vote at the annual parish meeting held each January.
