As we move forward into the fall season, I'm excited to announce that Elizabeth Schneider is joining us as the Interim Director of Music for Children and Youth. She has degrees in both Music Education and Voice, as well as being K-12 certified. With the reality of COVID, Music for Children and Youth will largely be virtual this season. Elizabeth comes to us with lots of experience teaching virtually and is slightly re-imagining the program for this period. It promises to be engaging, instructive, and fun. We are planning several virtual choir projects, times of teaching, and opportunities for small group vocal coaching as part of the children’s time together. I know that Elizabeth is also planning some other surprises along the way.
You can get to know Elizabeth by watching an introductory video message and reading a note from her below.
I know these are challenging times, as families navigate the realities of “school” during COVID-time. It is our desire to provide an enriching experience for our young choristers during this time and to build on the legacy left to us by Lois Trego.
