SJD Mission Trip: Belize 2015

#SJDBelize2015

December 26, 2015 -January 1, 2016

Team Members: Jacqui Babilli, Jenny Childers, Eileen Hairel, Sheryl Johnson-Todd, Clay Lein, Scott Schwind, Amy Whittington

The objective of any St. John the Divine mission trip is to bring the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ to people of other cultures. That Good News is not only the biblical truth of salvation through Christ, (Romans 3:23), but also the very practical Good News of the body of Christ working to improve the quality of life for those in need, (Matthew 25:31-46)

On this trip we will be working with an Anglican Church in Belize. We will begin to build a relationship with the people of the Diocesan Cathedral church – St. John the Baptist. We do not yet know exactly what kind of work will be required but we do know that we will be working alongside of them and building lasting relationships.

A successful mission trip relies on more than just the few people willing to go. We go on behalf of a whole community of people – missionaries are sent! We need both your prayers most importantly and financial support. By asking for both prayer and financial support, we are letting others know about missions at SJD and about our decisions to serve Christ. Even more important, supporting our mission allows others to part of what God is doing in us and in Belize!

We ask you to join us in prayer support for this mission. Please fill out this form below to let us know that you will be praying for us as we prepare for the mission and for our time there serving Him. At the bottom of the page, there is information to support the mission financially.
