Kids Hope USA

Kids Hope USA builds caring relationships…One child, one hour, one church, one school.  

Kids Hope USA is a church-based mentoring program designed to help River Oaks Elementary students with special social, academic, and/or emotional needs.  Our church provides the volunteer mentors and prayer partners to work individually with the students. 

 The mentors got to the school to work with the students for one hour each week during the school year. Teachers help provide the instruction and materials necessary for the mentoring sessions.  The qualifications include St. John the Divine membership, one’s own transportation, and love for children.   The prayer partners are silent partners; they do not go into the school but work independently in prayer for the student, the mentor and total program.  Qualifications include St. John the Divine membership, love for children and the belief in the power of prayer.  We ask for a one-year commitment to the program.  Training is provided.
