SJD Children - Early Childhood

Pre-School/Kindegarten Sunday School (Sun), 9:50-11:00 am
Our early childhood program (2 years-Kindergarten) welcomes our youngest disciples into a loving environment with dedicated teachers who love Jesus and children. Children will build a strong Biblical foundation and learn to weave their budding faith into their everyday lives with play, art, storytelling, puppets, and more. Using FaithWeaver® Bible curriculum, all ages study and experience the same scripture in creative ways. 

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
Level I (3 - 6 years)
This dynamic Montessori-based approach to the spiritual formation of the young child is rooted in the Bible, the liturgy of the church, and the educational principles of Maria Montessori. Children 3 years-3rd grade gather in an “atrium,” a room prepared for them, which contains simple yet beautiful materials that they use. Children are introduced to the Bible through liturgy, parables, contemplative work, and prayers.
