Jesus said: "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me...Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." Being generous and cheerful givers of our time, talent and treasure and utilizing gifts in service to others for local mission is a core value of St. John the Divine.

With the advice of the outreach committee, we give 10% of the pledge dollars we receive to fund grants to local mission partners. SJD also furnishes facilities and services that can bring people together to hear God’s Word, to celebrate and receive the Sacraments, to receive and carry forth into the world the ministry of reconciliation, and to know the joy of redeemed living.
