Boy Scouts Troop 55
Scouting at St. John the Divine
St. John the Divine supports scouting as a way to help develop our children emotionally and physically, teaching them life skills of survival and responsibility.
Cub Scout Pack 55
With over 200 active boys, Pack 55 is one of the largest and most active cub scout packs in the world. The boys are organized into 15 to 20 dens based upon age.
The boys in Pack 55 come from a wide variety of religious backgrounds. Many of the boys live in River Oaks, West University, or other neighborhoods on the near west side of Houston, but some boys come from other parts of Houston.
Pack 55 usually has three or four dens for boys in each school grade (1st to 5th). Many of the boys attend St. John's School, River Oaks Baptist School, Annunciation Orthodox School, West University Elementary, or River Oaks Elementary, and many of the cub dens consist primarily of boys from a specific school.
