SJD Prayer & Care

 

Prayer Ministry at St. John the Divine is a confidential ministry of Praise, Healing, Intercession, and Power in the Name of Jesus.

 

The Mission of SJD Prayer Ministry is to encourage people to experience the fullness of God in Jesus through the power of prayer and the Holy Spirit, to equip and train disciples of Jesus in their personal and corporate prayer lives, to empower parishioners and guests through prayer ministry and prayer conferences, changing lives for God in Jesus and to expose people to the healing presence of Jesus

 

 

Prayer Ministry Opportunities and Training

 

The duties of prayer ministers are varied. You can assist at the 6:00 pm Service of Healing & Intercessory on a Wednesday evening; pray in teams for individuals at the following Sunday services: 11:05 am and 6:00 pm Contemporary services and at the 4:45 pm Healing service, and on the second Tuesday of each month we hold a special Praise and Worship service in the Chapel from 6:30-8:00 pm.

 

If you feel called to participate as a commissioned prayer minister at St. John the Divine, we offer training to equip you. Contact the Rev. Reagan Cocke at for more information.

Please join us on Wednesdays to pray for Freedom Place, the first comprehensive Christ-Centered care and recovery center in Texas for underage female victims of child sex trafficking.  We will be asking God for a successful path to freedom for domestic children who have suffered as sex slaves; for changing of hearts for their captors and exploiters; and for spiritual guidance and protection for Houston's law enforcement and all those working on behalf of this horrendous problem in our city, state and country.

Complete a Prayer Request Cards available at all services.

Service of Healing and Intercession

 

Please join us Wednesday nights at 6:00 P.M. in the Sid Smith Prayer Chapel (L-25) for a short time of praise, worship, teaching and sharing.  Those wanting individual prayer will then be prayed for by a team.  All prayer times are confidential. There will be prayer team members present to intercede on everyone’s behalf throughout the evening. Open to all.
